| Our Mission | ||||||||
Many of life’s momentous journeys begin with an invitation. “Will you marry me?” “You’ve been accepted to our college.” “You’re hired!” Jesus also offers an invitation—“follow me”; it’s an opportunity to become a part of God’s people and God’s great work of redeeming and renewing all creation. Answering the call to follow means you’re beginning the most important, momentous journey life can offer—being a disciple of Jesus. |
Science has shown that babies who are given all the necessities for living but are not loved—not touched, not hugged, not held—fail to thrive. Many in our culture are caught in an adult version of “failure to thrive.” Jesus brings healing, hope and purpose to life; the journey has a goal. Knowing his touch means knowing his power, his love, and his guidance; it’s an opportunity to thrive! |
So many voices in this world offer advice for living—most of it contradictory! It’s hard to know what to do as we move through the stages of our life’s journey. At times, we are even a mystery to ourselves. Jesus, who is the human face of God the Father, rescues us from the things that afflict us, shows us the reality about ourselves, and leads us into perfect truth. Learning his wisdom means seeking to grow in knowledge of his Word, and patterning our lives after his as we journey through life. |
The Dead Sea is “dead” because it has no outlet. Water—and minerals, sewage, and the like—flow into it, but nothing flows out. So it becomes more stagnant, unable to sustain life. As we journey through life with Jesus, we learn how to let what he gives to us flow through our lives so that all of us may experience blessing. Sharing his love means that we become the opportunity for others to answer his call, know his touch, and learn his wisdom.
